OCTOPUS: A 24-Hour Splitboard Adventure in Chamonix by Pica
We’re super excited to present OCTOPUS, the latest film by Julien Herry, aka Pica. A rider of the Jones Pro Team and a long-time Whympr ambassador, Pica takes us on a unique adventure in Chamonix.
In this film, he tackles 8 lines on the Aiguille de la Glière, proving that incredible adventures can unfold right near home with minimal environmental impact.
We invite you to watch the video on YouTube now and experience this beautiful film, which we’re proud to have sponsored.
A Bold Project on the Aiguille de la Glière in Chamonix
In OCTOPUS, Pica and his friends (Laurent Bibollet, Nick Russell, and Manu Gross) connect eight couloirs in one go, starting at dawn and riding all the lines that stretch down from the summit of the Aiguille de la Glière, like the tentacles of a giant octopus (hence the name of the film).
This creative project proves that you can have epic moments in accessible places while respecting the mountain and the environment.
